My name is Qamrul Hasnain.
I come from an O & A Levels background, followed by a Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Sciences & Risk Management, a path that usually leads to a completely different kind of life. And honestly, that was the plan.

But somewhere along the way, I found something I didn’t expect… a real connection with handmade embroidery.
It started small. Just a personal interest. Something I enjoyed doing in my own time. But slowly, it became more than that, it became part of who I am.

I began sharing my work online without thinking too much about where it would go. That’s when I connected with someone who became a very important part of my journey "Rita Van Goethem" from Belgium. She genuinely appreciated my work, noticed the little details, and supported me at a time when that encouragement meant everything. I started creating handmade embroidered shawls, tunics, and custom pieces, each one carrying my effort, my time, and honestly, a part of me.

After graduating, I did what most people do, I stepped into the corporate world and worked at a bank for about a year.
But something always felt off. Everything was fine on the outside, but inside, I knew my heart wasn’t there. It was still stuck with fabrics, designs, textures… and the satisfaction of creating something from scratch.

That’s when it became clear to me, this is not just a hobby.

This is what I’m meant to do.
And that’s where Qamies Art truly began.

“Qamies” comes from my own name, and “Art” represents everything we stand for, craftsmanship, detail, and originality.

Today, at Qamies Art, we don’t believe in shortcuts. We create everything ourselves, from handloom and jacquard fabrics to detailed embroidery and final stitching. Every piece goes through our own process, our own hands.

We focus on sherwanis, waistcoats, prince coats, pant coats, and shalwar kameez, outfits that carry a mix of tradition and modern style, perfect for weddings and special occasions.
But at the end of the day, this brand is still very personal to me.

It started with a passion…
and turned into a purpose.
